Redina, originally from Albania, moved to Michigan at the age of 11. She earned a Bachelor
of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Michigan and
completed medical school at Wayne State University, graduating at the top of her class
with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. She completed her Transitional Year residency at
ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital.
Before joining the Reveal Research Institute, Redina completed a research fellowship at
Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, where she delved deeper into dermatology. During this
fellowship, she specialized in pigmentary disorders, photomedicine, hidradenitis
suppurativa, and multicultural dermatology. As an immigrant and first-generation college
graduate, she is deeply committed to enhancing diversity within dermatology. Her
dedication was recognized with first-place awards at both the Skin of Color Society
Meeting and the Photodermatology Society Meeting in 2024.
In her free time, Redina enjoys staying physically active, spending time with family and
friends, and exploring new restaurants.
