Nathan Shen, MD

Dr. Nathan Shen earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, where he
studied Economics and Biomolecular Science. Following graduation, he spent several years
working in supply chain management before pursuing his medical degree at Central Michigan
University College of Medicine, where he earned his MD.

Dr. Shen’s interest in dermatology was inspired by his father’s diagnosis and treatment of
Extramammary Paget’s disease, which led him to pursue dedicated oncodermatology research
at the University of Utah. During this time, he contributed to multiple peer-reviewed
publications and served as Program Coordinator for the Massachusetts General Hospital Magic
Wand Initiative.

He is deeply committed to caring for underserved populations, a passion that guided him to
complete his Transitional Year at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan. Dr. Shen is excited to
join Reveal Research Institute, where he looks forward to contributing to innovative patient
care. In his free time, Dr. Shen enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and
playing pickleball.
